See you around, 2012

I guess it's the thing to post a recap of 2012, like it's a nonchalant way to drop some brags about yourself. But hey, what are blogs for? Let's get some horn tootin' on up in here!

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR:

FEBRUARY | ›seeing Jane Monheit live in concert!

APRIL | ›landing a full-time job (that I enjoy!) = small miracle!
›graduating, finally and forever!
›faceplanting on graduation day--God's way of reminding me to not get too full of myself
›finishing my mini-thesis. it sounds cooler that way. (this may not have happened in April, but it did happen, so let’s just pretend!)

MAY | ›I won a tv! I won something!

JULY | ›running 3? 4? 5k’s...and forgetting what my PR is...gonna have to look that up. But in the spirit of   highlights, here is my favorite 5k moment:

SEPTEMBER | ›hiking Timp

OCTOBER | ›going on my first business trip, to Nashville, and staying here. You bet your                        britches it was awesome! Being a working girl rocks!
›I oversleep the first morning of said business trip, and awaken to my boss' knocks on my door, then greet her in pajamas and disheveled hair. Again with the reminders

DECEMBER | ›sending out my first Christmas cards!
            ›buying my first car!
›buying a Kindle! I’m in love!
Material Girl becomes my theme song
›discover Your LL Bean Boyfriend. Yes, just yes.
›see Life of Pi; become obsessed with Pi's Lullaby. Easily The Most Beautiful Song of 2012.

What a year of change! And here's to 2013, an even better year!

    1. This just means I became an honest woman, and bought my parents' car. Or as my mother likes to say, "repay for its use," because it isn't worth much these days. But still. I own it, yay!

    1. It was actually very cathartic to make that list, that's for sure! I hope so as well, or dare I say, even better!
